Glencoe Math Circle

I teach 1st-5th graders at a local free math class where we help young minds explore their budding interest in mathematics. We have a Spring session and a Fall session and classes are one hour long, with three time slots to choose from on Saturdays. If you are in the Chicago North Shore area and would like to participate, go to glencoemathcircle.com to sign up!

New Trier Physics Club

Believe it or not, my high school does NOT have a physics club. I have submitted an application to start the club and it is finally a reality! We started with just 3 regular members, and now we are near 20. The goal of the club is to bring like-minded students together to explore their interests in physics, especially topics not otherwise covered in standard high school curriculum, like High Energy Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, and Computational Physics. Members also have the option of sharing current research projects that they’re working on with others or recent articles that they found interesting. We would also form study groups for national exams, like the F=MA Science Olympiad test.
